A distinguished alumnus of the London Business School (Class of 1989), Frank has played a transformative role in shaping the global telecommunications landscape. His professional journey began at Kingfisher International, a family enterprise, where he acquired foundational insights into the industry that would later underpin his global ventures.
In 1999, Frank co-founded SENKO Advanced Components APAC in Melbourne, Australia. Serving as Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, he was instrumental in the company’s international expansion, forging high-impact strategic partnerships across Hong Kong, China, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and Thailand. Under his stewardship, the SENKO Group—now valued at over US$1.3 billion—cemented its status as a global leader in photonics and fiber optic technology.
Celebrated for his deep industry acumen and forward-thinking leadership, Frank has emerged as a preeminent figure in the ICT sector. In recognition of his pioneering efforts to integrate photonics into secondary education, he was named “Scientist of the Year” in 2007 for introducing the world’s first photonics module into the high school physics curriculum, thereby inspiring a new generation of students from Year 8 to Year 12.
A fervent advocate for technological advancement, Frank has served on multiple advisory boards at both state and federal levels, tirelessly promoting the Australian fiber optic and telecommunications industries. He was a founding member of the FTTH Council Asia Pacific and served with distinction as its President for two consecutive terms. He also held the esteemed position of Global Chairman of the Fiber Connect Global Alliance (FCGA), where he championed the global advancement of fiber-to-the-home technologies.
Since establishing the Asia Pacific FTTH Council in 2005, Frank has played a pivotal role in standardising FTTH deployment and fostering market growth across the region. His contributions have earned him multiple accolades from the FCGA and broader industry stakeholders.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Frank is deeply committed to driving social impact. He serves on the boards of several Indigenous-led non-profit organisations, focusing on digital literacy and the socio-economic upliftment of rural and remote communities. As the Founding President of SCTE/ISBE Australasia, he continues to lead efforts in delivering world-class technical training to telecommunications professionals and bridging the digital divide in Indigenous populations.
