With over two decades of legal practice dedicated to advancing access to justice for culturally diverse and underrepresented communities, Eduardo is a respected Australian solicitor, legal reform advocate, and community leader. Admitted to practice in November 2004, Eduardo has worked exclusively with multicultural clients since 2002, driven by a deep personal and professional commitment to equity, inclusion, and the transformative power of law.
Eduardo’s legal expertise spans accident compensation, tort law, public liability, workers’ compensation, and historical sexual abuse claims. His voice has been central in procedural and legislative reform through his active involvement with the Queensland Law Society’s Accident Compensation and Tort Law Committee since 2017. His work influences reforms in key areas of civil litigation and insurance law, ensuring fairer outcomes for those navigating life-altering injury or trauma.
Beyond his legal practice, Eduardo is an engaged civic leader. He serves as General Counsel to Serving Our People, one of Australia’s fastest-growing charities delivering emergency aid and community support. He is also a Board Member of youBelong Australia, a prominent not-for-profit dedicated to empowering refugees and fostering belonging for newly arrived communities.
In July 2024, Eduardo was appointed Consul of the Republic of El Salvador in Australia, a diplomatic role that reflects both his cultural heritage and his leadership in advancing bilateral community engagement. In this capacity, he works to enhance diplomatic, social, and legal ties between El Salvador and Australia, with a focus on advocacy, community welfare, and international cooperation.
Eduardo’s professional journey includes roles in two national law firms and senior legal positions at WorkCover Queensland, where he managed operations within its Common Law Division. His diverse experience has shaped him into a versatile and resourceful practitioner who brings a rare blend of legal rigour, policy insight, and community empathy to his work.
Eduardo holds a diverse range of academic qualifications reflecting his commitment to legal excellence and professional growth. He completed a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws, and Professional Legal Education and Training at the University of Queensland, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Trademark Law and Practice from UTS. He earned a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne with Second Class Honours, and a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice with First Class Honours. He is currently completing an MBA at Queensland University of Technology.
